AnyDetectable Ca+ in: artery walls reflects arterial plaque, >80% plaque no Ca+2 which any CT scanner can detect. Thus, if accurate, this does reflect coronary artery disease which typically begins in childhood & is driven by low fat diet. Optimize NMR lipoproteins, HbA1c & systolic BP to minimize artery Ds while promoting regression. Food choices first; Crestor, (rosuvastatin) Zetia, niacin, Vascepa, etc. often help, yet secondary.
