does gerd cause upper/middle back pain? it kind of feels like my lungs hurt. diagnosed with gerd after normal cxray, stress test echo and ecg

It can.: given the work up you've had so far, the best step next may be to try over-the-counter antacids to see if they help temporarily. If they do, then a trial of prescription medication for Gerd may be indicated. You should also avoid any particular foods that you notice bring on your symptoms. Good luck.
