Recovery is rapid: Generally a DCR involves the insertion of tubes which can stay in place for 3-6 months. The recovery from the immediate surgery is rapid and you should be fully functional in 2-4 days at most. Medical leave depends upon your particular work situation and the terms of your work contract. There are no universal rules about this.
