Slow weight loss: A target of 130 lbs would be appropriate for your height. Aim for lifestyle changes that you can stick with. Monitor your eating patterns with a daily diary for 2 weeks. Aim to decrease you calories by 500 - 1000 calories/ day but do not go below 1200 -1500/day. This will allow a weight loss of approximately 1 -2 lbs/week. Exercise can improve the weight loss as well.

No deadline: yes, safe and attainable. It's all about lifestyle change, and keeping the change going in positive directions. Too much too soon will usually end up with recovery of the extra weight. You must burn more calories than you consume....period. Live healthy. Happy New Year.

For sure: 120-130 pounds depending on your build is a very reasonable goal for you. Losing about a pound a week usually guarantees keeping the weight off if you maintain your healthy behaviors. Regular CV exercise and 1500 cal/day intake is a good start. So, doing the math, you could be at your goal by June. Best of luck!
