Yes: Its so common that some cultures don't believe you were a virgin unless there is blood on the sheets. That isn't true, of course, but it gives you an idea that it is very common. Most women don't bleed more than 3 days. If you have prolonged bleeding or if it is heavy, you should see a doctor.
