I got a flu shot on tuesday and within a few hours developed a small lump on the back of my forearm that started very soft and now feels fairly firm?

Hematoma: It's possible that a small hematoma or bruise may have been caused by the shot IF this swelling is at the site of the injection. If the injection site is not related to that lump, then it must be something else such as a muscle 'knot' or localized spasm. If it's a hematoma I wonder if you are on blood thinners/have a bleeding problem? If so, you should tell your doc. Also if fever develops, call.
