See a doc! : Acid reflux or asthma can cause a chronic cough, but if treatment for those conditions doesn't help, it's time to look for another cause. Heart problems, cancer, and even certain medications can cause a chronic cough. A doctor can do tests to narrow down the cause, which is important. If treatment for any condition isn't working, always let your doctor know!
