Extrasystoles: Or extra beats are followed by compensatory pauses and while extremely common, they seem to bother you enough. You do have conditions that directly or indirectly may cause them and starting with your treating physician with a detailed history as to circumstances they appear in and review of your meds ( many can cause tachycardia and skipped beats) will make most sense.

Skip beats: There are several reasons for skip beats, the most common is called PVCs. These are extra heart beats that most of us have. They are usually benign. They occur infrequently. Caffeinated drinks like coffee or energy drinks, anxiety and certain medications may aggravate these symptoms. It is possible that inhalers for your asthma may cause skipped beats. If this persist, I would consult your MD.
