Yes: Yes with a negative strep test, this is most likely viral. Why are you taking antibiotics? They are not indicated for a viral sore throat, by the way. Keep hydrated and take motrin for pain are your best treatments. Feel better! I would discuss the antibiotics with whoever prescribed them!
