See your doctor.: it sounds as though the Prilosec OTC is helping, but has not completely handled the problem. Since you are not completely better, I would see your doctor to help determine the next step in your therapy. Good luck.

I have had bad heartburn and GERD for about a month now. Was on Prilosec for 2 weeks, stopped. Smoked for 2 days after, felt abdomen pain and esophagus restriction, etc. No longer smoking. And more heartburn. Hiatal hernia maybe? Does it heal itself?
