A member asked:

I'm 18 wks pregnant with an absolute lymphocyte count <600. is this normal for pregnancy? will alc continue dropping through 28th week?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

That is low: The absolute lymphocyte count should range 700-4600 nonpregnant, 1100-3600 1st trimester, 900-3900 2nd trimester, and 1000-3600 3rd trimester. Because your level is low, you should first repeat it. If still present, your physician, or a hematologist, can elect to look for possible causes such as infection, autoimmune disorders like lupus, medications, etc. Hope that helps.
