More information: The symptoms you have can be concerning of a blood clot if you have pain, swelling, redness, difficulty walking or shortness of breath. This would require immediate evaluation. If you have mild swelling with out the concerning symptoms listed above, you can monitor your symptoms.

Possibly: The concern would be a DVT. Before you go to the hospital call your gynecologist and repeat your concern and see if he/she could arrange an outpatient evaluation, so you can avoid sitting in an ER full of flu patients.

"No sweat": Perspiration behind your knees may or may not be an issue with the previous surgery. If you have a fever then yes, if not probably not. Call your surgeon's office and ask them what is your next step.
