A member asked:

Can you tell me how much time should i expect to stay in the hospital after major knee reconstructive surgery?

Specializes in Plastic Surgery

Depends: Type of surgery ; your health often dictate length of stay. Many are released within 24--72 hours including some joint replacement surgeries. Careful rehab and care programs should be carefully followed. You will stay until wound sites improve and self-care possible. Many are using biocellular treatments in conjunction with surgery, this may shorten your post-surg course.
