Prolonged cough for > 1 months , take singulair (montelukast) and go doctr already no smoke no other symptoms but the cough remain . bit worry any reccomendation ?

Cough: Please have a test to rule out tuberculosis like a PPD with your doctor and ask if you could have walking pneumonia or pertussis infection that requires antibiotic treatment. May also need to try an inhaler, if asthma runs in the family. It may be allergic rhinitis, such that an antihistamine might help.Coughing can also be due to reflux esophagitis.
