Slight possibility: The characteristic of a cancerous lymph node is initially one associated with a pre existing malignancy that has is or is undergoing treatment. If no known lesion and a node appears along major venous sites in areas such as groin.axilla and increases in number remaining firm on palpation or gets larger one can expect lymphoma. Bx needed to confirm. Behind ear is not typical site .for cancer.

Cancer's abnormal: A great many of your peers have one or more nodes like this one. Freely mobile nodes that are not outrageously large and not growing rapidly, especially in a year old, aren't going to be cancer. I'm glad you're health-conscious. The lymph nodes is your friend.
