Recall: your earlier question. This is actually a pretty complex situation and a number of variables would need to be factored in to make an accurate response. His treatment team have access to all the medical history, his testing and his physical exam are in the best position to make this call. Because he is the father of a friend of yours- they would not be likely to release info to you.
