Tonsolith and Fever: Tonsoliths or "stones" can be troublesome if they block the outflow of the tonsil. They are usually caused by natural bacteria build up but can develop into an infection if the "obstruction" is not relieved. Typically they do not require antibiotics if they are simple and easily removed (with a little pressure). There are a fair amount of cases that require antibiotic. I would see ENT to be safe.
