Migraine: If the any type of migraine gets very frequent, including the "visual" or "basilar" migraine, then there might be a need for preventive medicine. Please see a neurologist.

Ocular migraines!: Ocular migraines usually only last from 1-30 minutes. They can last longer. Very rare for the symptoms to be permanent. I do not know of anyone losing their vision or the symptoms staying permanently. They can recur though. Sometimes there are triggers; the most common are stress, caffeine, chocolate, red wine, food with sulfates, some medications, alcohol, reflections of light.
