A member asked:

I have been told that my hand remains in the the same position it was in at the time of the stroke is that true because my hand remains flexed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: That's a naive superstition. I'm sorry you had a stroke; the hand will take a position based on the relative strengths of the muscles that are no longer under your control.
