I tested negative for hiv and hsv in january 2013.this is over six months after possible exposure to hiv. i have recurrent mouth ulcers, itchy skin.

See doctor: It is highly unlikely that it is either hsv or hiv. It sounds like you may have a recurrent apthous stomatitis; you should get evaluated by a dermatologist to see what the inciting cause may be.

Hard to say: If the january 2013 test was your first HIV test, it is always critical to be tested 3-6 months after your initial test, as it can take time for the HIV virus to be evident in the body. It could also be symptoms of primary HIV infection or primary hsv infection. I would seek the advice of your physician promptly.
