A member asked:

I had 8 internal stitches and 15 external. i can still feel all internal stitches and 1 is protruding through my skin. help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Where are these?: Depends on location. Usually internal suture material is the dissolving kind, but sometimes it doesn't dissolve soon enough. If you see no redness, it is probably not infected, so it is not emergency. But have a doctor look at it, it doesn't sound normal.
