Hard to connect: Those symptoms are difficult to connect without more history. Any pain or pressure in the center of the chest should raise the possibility of heart problems, although GI are more common. If you have pain with exertion, nausea/vomiting, sweating or radiation of the pain to arm or jaw be seen right away. Some unusual arthritis problems can hit several areas. If continues be seen.

Chest pain: Although the two areas you describe may not be part of a single diagnosis, if they are it has the potential to be very severe (blood clot in leg with clot thrown to lungs - pulmonary embolus/infarction). The best thing to do would be to go and get this checked out by a physician. Hope all is well and this is actually a minor problem.
