May require biopsy: Either it is a hypertrophic scar or a recurrent nevus..

Raised scar: After removal of a mole by shaving it the scar can become raised. This is called hypertrophic scar. It responds well to injections with kenalog (triamcinolone) (a steroid). Certain laser treatments can help as well. As a last resort it can be completely excised. If the first time no biopsy was done you should so a biopsy as well.
