Sounds pretty normal. If you can't stop picking at it, consider having the mole removed.

Have it removed, I agree. Send the tissue to pathology to rule out melanoma, among other conditions.

Any change in a mole should be checked out as things like becoming irritated or bleeding or scabbing can indicate something like a cancer. For a mole which has color (pigment) melanoma is a possibility. But other things like recurrent injury from picking at it can do that too. Another thing that acts the way you describe is actually not a mole, and not a cancer, but a seborrheic keratosis. Be seen
