I've been having problems with pain and popping in my left wrist. the popping occurs in the outside part of my wrist when i make a twisting motion with my hand/wrist. any ideas what this is?

Not serious: It's similar to popping of your knuckles when u intentionally do it. As we age, our cartilage , ligaments, joints and bones become less pliable and brittle creating the grinding sound. Get tested for arthritis . Follow up with your dr. Don't get old ! stay young and active !( check link below).

Probably ligaments: Popping and pain in any joint usually suggests a problem with the connections between bones and bones (ligaments) and bones and muscles (tendons). Injury and overuse from job or play can irritate or injure these areas. Most of the time, rest and otc anti-inflammatories can help. Manual medicine can help. Splints can help. If continues or worsens get a good exam to calrify the problem.
