Asthma: Proair is a brand name for albuterol, used to open airways during times of shortness of breath as a rescue medication for people with asthma. Sometimes people without asthma can get asthma like symptoms such as wheezing and inhalers like proair are helpful for these situations as well. It is short and quick acting making it ideal for rescue in times of acute sumptoms.

Pro air: One brand inhaled albuterol used for acura bronchospasm . Referred to as a rescue dose, mostly in asthmatics, but also used in bronchitis, chronic lung disease where it's difficult to breath out due tightening of small bronchial tubes. If want experience how severer asthma attack feels try running up steps while only breathing thru a straw.
