Healing from surgery: Yes. It is normal. Especially if you have no pain. The area will be inflamed, swollen and need to heal post operatively. Sounds like things are normal on your end.

Seromas common: It is almost expected to develop these bulges. It is fluid that has accumulated in the dead space where the hernia contents used to live. It will get reabsorbed. Size matters. The bigger the herniation the more likely to see fluid.
