A member asked:

I have a very small recurrent hernia, it is only noticible when i cough, otherwise theres no bulge, should i have another surgery or just wait no pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See your surgeon: In general, it is good that there are no symptoms, but also in general, we think recurrent hernias are more likely to become a problem that primary hernias. Further, it may not be a recurrence, and an exam by a surgeon, along with the surgeon;s advice may be the best course of action.
