Does a mri show a chondral injury? if it does what are the symptoms of having a chondral injury

A doctor has provided 1 answer

MRI: Mri's are very sensitive and will show chondral damage. There are 4 grades: i: softening, ii: fraying, iii: crabmeat appearance, iv: bare bone. Mri's are sensitive to even show bone bruising: increased blood flow to the bone surface. Chondral injury symptoms can be pain with weight bearing, catching, clicking or in severe cases pain even at rest.
