It depends: Clonazepam is a long-acting benzodiazepine. How long you feel effects depends on your tolerance. The elimination half-life is 20-60 hours [the amount of time your system needs to excrete half the dose you took.] if you take only 1 dose (not repeated ones) it could take up to 300 hours (12.5 days) for it to be completely gone from your body. "sedative effect" may differ person to person.

Sedative effects: The sedative effesct for Clonazepam should not last more than a day at first due to it's long half life, 20-30 hours, and as you become tolerant of it these effects will lessen. The half life referes to the time for half the drug to be eliminated from your body.
