It is ok!: Some doctors feel the eye drops are gentler for the middle ear since they are ph buffered. Good luck, jp.

May be ok: Some meds have the same names and are made in different formualations. Check with your doctor that you got the correct one.

Ok: Many otolaryngologist use ophthalmic preps especially steroids and antibiotics, but you should check with the ENT who put in the tubes.

Possibly: Possibly a mistake, check with the doctor who prescribed. It is also possibly that they intended for you to use the eye drop to help treat the ear infection. If this is the case it is off label, but most likely ok! and not a problem.
