CHF, kidney, staph: Patients with a staph infection can have an endocarditis, which affects the heart valves. Once it is on a valve, septic emboli can be sent to other places, the brain, retina, bone or kidney. Those emboli to the kidney can cause renal failure. A damaged heart valve can also cause chf. I would imagine the person you are talking about is in the hospital, perhaps you should speak to her doctor.
