A little long: Generally pain diminishes in a few months but can be aggravated by work, weather etc numbness near any incision is not unusual and also diminishes over time as new nerves insinuate into the area-that is a bother but not a danger sign. See your surgeon about the pain, any fever, or wound changes since you had the staph.
