The second Dr.: Is correct. If you have pcos you should have a long-term health management plan, whether you are seeking pregnancy or not.

Treat: There is no particular disadvantage to treating pcos. No treatment could lead to other problems - such as anemia, unpredictable bleeding, pelvic pain, and in some cases endometrial cancer. The first line treatment for pcos is usually cycle control with oral contraceptives, which works for almost everyone with pcos.
