Depends.: Depends upon severity of the platelet dysfunction. If there are very few functional platelets bleeding can be persistent. If there are enough then bleeding would only occur with trauma such as brushing.

Yes: Bleeding is common in patients with leukemia. May be related to low platelet count or effects of chemotherapy. Have your oncologist check your blood count and clotting factors.
