A member asked:

Occasional shortness of breath, toothache and gum bleeding, could this be leukemia?

Shortness of breath may be due to smoking damaging your lungs, cardiac insufficiency, and other causes rarer than leukemia. Toothache and gum bleedingnindicate both infected teeth and infested gums (different bacteria), with germs spreading to heart,, brain, liver, pancreas, etc. You know what to do but have been avoiding seeing a physician AND a Dentist. Neglect is not excusable.

There is a link to bleeding gums and leukemia, but if the gums bleed spontaneously and in a clean mouth, than leukemia is suspected. A tooth ache and bleeding gum are from poor oral hygiene. Either way see your PCP and dentist for exam and treatment.
