Probably not.: You should have a full, eye exam with an ophthalmologist to rule out vision problems or eye disease. Usually, however, vision changes are a standard part of the prodromall symptoms preceding a migraine. It's a part of the migraine, generally not related to your vision.

No: Visual auras that occur before the migraine headache or even in the absence of a headache are sometimes called scintillating scotomas. Sometimes this type of headache is called a retinal migraine. The scintillation or visual changes associated with the migraine are not helped by lenses, but there are other medications that could help.
