I was told i have a cyst at the upper pole of the spleen. what does that mean?

Needs watching.: Cysts found on the liver or spleen during a ct or ultrasound are quite common. They are usually benign growths, that are simply followed with a repeat scan. If it's not growing, it is left alone. Splenic cysts may be hereditary, related to trauma or parasitic infection but usually there is no clear explanation. Follow up but no worries - this is not a big deal.
