Yes, depending: Uncontrolled diabetes definitely increases your risk of miscarriage. A hemoglobin a1c greater than 7 significantly increases the risks of birth defects and miscarriage. If your diabetes was not controlled during the first 2 pregnancies, then it may have been the cause of the miscarriages.
