Keep it simple: Just do one thing to shift your life and keep your commitment - it could be a commitment to walk daily or join one weight loss program and staying with the program. Any program works if you are commited. The 2 programs i like - control-it by biotics or p90x for people who like workout.

Avoid sugar: The simplest weight loss tip is to avoid sugar. Do not add sugar to anything and check any packages for the grams of sugar. Four grams equals one tablespoon! your body releases Insulin in response to a sugar load and that leads to fat deposition and increased cravings when the sugar level plummets. Look up and follow a low-glycemic index foods diet. Make good choices and be thin and healthy.

"best": The best way to lose weight is through a program of regular cardiovascular exercise (to burn calories) and a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables (fiber) and low in saturated fats and low in simple carbohydrates. This is the "best" way to lose weight.

Best weight loss: First, get your resting metabolism rate checked to understand how many calories your body burns, then decrease 500cal/day to lose one pound. Drink water since that helps to decrease body fat. Healthy diet is mostly plant based (fresher the better), lean proteins, no processed food or white flour, decrease caffeine/alcohol since they are empty calories, & limit grains (2/day), exercise also.

Slow & healthy: To lose weight insure that calories burned > calories consumed. Drink at least 8 - 8 oz glasses of water per day. Try for 8 hours of sleep/night. Aim for at least 5 servings of vegetables & 4 servings of fruit per day. Use whole grain when possible. Avoid sodas, alcohol & junk carbohydrates. Get in a good mix of aerobic & weight lifting exercises.

Eat less move more: Count your calories and cut back on things that contain added sugars and fats. Tracking programs that calculate caloric values and daily limits are excellent ways to keep track of what you are eating. Choose primarily fruits and vegetables. Start an exercise program and aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily. Just about every "diet" program can be effective.. If you stick to it.

Eat fewer calories: Helpful weight loss diets have natural foods that take time to chew but contain few calories. Examples include carrots, celery, and iceberg lettuce (little/no salad dressing). When shopping for fruits, buy small ones no bigger than a tennis ball, because fruits have sugar. Drinks without calories include water and green tea. A calorie is a calorie, but surely avoid sugar & simple starch calories.

Exercise, less carbs: The key to losing weight is to eat less, but not all calories are created equal. Sugars & simple carbs from grains esp cause weight gain. I like dr. Furhman's diet: www.Drfuhrman.Com/library/foodpyramid.Aspx dr. Weil has useful info: www.Huffingtonpost.Com/andrew-weil-md/carbohydrates-weight-loss_b_1937312.Html- see his "discuss that" link in his article. Exercise is also important. Good luck!

Diet and exercise: Exercise, exercise, exercise....Increase your exercise to 5-6 times per week at least 30 minutes to an hour and get your heart rate up. Once you are in the groove, add some muscle strengthening to your routine. This needs to be a permanent lifestyle change for you. Additionally lower your calorie intake and count your calories on a website like fatsecret.Com or sparkpeople.Com. Drink more h20!
