Water intoxication : You are at risk for water intoxication in which your boby's sodium balance is disturbed dramitically. The ingestion of large amounts of water can dilute the sodium (hyponatremia) to the point of causing swelling or edema on the brain. The effects of 2 liters can be different depnding on general health and body mass or size. However the risk is very high with the fast ingestion of large amounts.
