Unfortunately, no.: At least not yet, childhood diabetes is not curable. Also known as type i (one) diabetes, childhood diabetes is not the same disease as adult onset (aka type ii) diabetes. Progresses in treatment with newer forms of insulin, Insulin pumps, home monitoring systems and better understanding of dietary influences has made the disease much more manageable. Research continues for the cure--maybe soon.
