Not Sure: How do you know this ifectious? This sounds most consistent with a common migraine headache accompanied by vomiting, which is not unusual. Any contagious illness would not disappear within five hours. In any case I am glad you are better.

Something bad: These are serious symptoms that could be caused by infection, but also other things. If you are not totally recovered, it's worth seeing a doctor. I would worry most about a mass lesion in the brain which could be fatal. Only way to know is to be checked out.
