Sharp pain: You should be adequately healed to resume all activities by 4 months.

Worsening symptoms: Most minor strains should resolve in a week or 2. If your pain is getting worse, or you see a bulge that is increasing in size, or you develop a burning or electric type shock pain to your upper thigh or groin these may be a sign of recurrence. If the pain does not resolve in 2 weeks return to your surgeon for an exam.
