Doubt ???Strain: May be a hernia other than the common Inguinal hernia, There are other hernias of that area such a femoral / obturator hernias. Seek consult from a Gen Surgeon and get a MRI of the pelvis

Hi there, Over the last 5 months I've lost around 30 lbs of weight. As my body is slimmer, I noticed a small lump in my groin area about 4/5 inches below belly button. I'm not sure if it was there and I did not notice because of the extra fat. Either way, did some research and have narrowed down symptom to inguinal hernia. Scheduled appointment with personal care doctor but it is not until September. Should I see an urgent care sooner? inguinal hernia, how urgent to see doctor?
Ache discomfort left groin, hip sometimes around belly button. Doc says not hernia. Could be IBS? Stomach popping time to time. Easy test to find out?
