Can you take a shower if you have stitches?

Maybe: Maybe. It depends on where the stitches are and how long they have been in. I would ask your doctor question.

Depends: Whether of not you can shower if you have stitches may be dependent upon where the surgical site is, what type of sutures were placed, and more importantly, advice from your doc who performed your procedure and placed the sutures.

Usually : A brief shower is not only ok in most cases it may be recommended. The idea is to avoid over-hydrating the wound site as would occur if you sat in a tub & soaked it. That could cause the stitches to split open.
