Acid sensitive...: I'm assuming you mean gerd, & not excessive acid production (for which a search for source should otherwise be undertaken). Gerd is common, but duration of symptoms warrants greater caution--particularly in male smokers or with accompanying dysphagia (food sticks), weight loss, GI bleeding.
