Trauma: All mouth sores should be gone in 2 weeks. If it is still there be concerned. Always best to check with you dentist first.

Probably not serious: This couuld be an injury like a burn. The purple spot could be a varicosity or blood vessel. Small mouth sores can be the sign of a viral outbreak, fungal (yeast) or apthous ulcers. If they persist over a week or change/become painful, i recommend you see your dentist or family physician.

Palate discoloration: This can be several things. It depends on where on your palate the discoloration is and their relation to the mouth sores. What color the mouth sores are, how large they are, what is the color, etc. It is best to get this examined while they are prominent and easily seen.
