Gingival Lump: This lesion should be investigated. It can be related to an abscess from an adjacent tooth. So hard to diagnose these issues without a radiograph and a visualization. Please call a local dentist for an appointment.

Lump: Any pain, bleeding, or as in your case, swelling, deserves investigation. Probably not cancer (unless you smoke or abuse alcohol). May be infection related to an abscessed tooth or gum disease. May be a mucocele. May be other phenomena. Please see your General Dentist for an examination, possible imaging, possible lab tests, to determine origin of the lump and thus the appropriate treatment.
