Possible abscess: Could be a dental (tooth) abscess that has spread into palate/throat area. Asap: seek consult from your dentist any time you have swelling or pain that accompanies a tooth ache--especially if the pain is distant or disrupts swallowing or breathing.

Tooth Pain: These could be related or coincidental. If you have an infection from the tooth or gums (abscess for example) it could result in swollen glands and a sore throat. Also pain can refer in the mouth, so a lower tooth could be the problem as well. I would have a dentist check for infection, else see an md for the sore throat. Antibiotics should only be prescribed when a definitive DX has been made.
